Wisdom for the Day

“Muse” means “to think”.  “Amuse” means “not to think”.  Amusement is a perfect description of American culture.

Boredom is the result of scratching an eternal itch with temporal things.

You may have learned how to make money, but have you learned how to make a life?

All uneven strokes at the oars are rectified by the rudder.

The goal of life is not to see how many empty buckets we can collect before we die.

Every sin of commission is also a sin of omission.

It’s not the “big” sins that cause callouses on your heart.

If you’re not satisfied with what you have, you won’t be satisfied with what you want.
