Wisdom for the Day

10/17/2018

Who stand fast?  Only the man whose final standard is not his reason, his principles, his conscience, his freedom or his virtue.  The man who stands fast is ready to sacrifice all this when he is called to obedience and responsible action in faith and in exclusive allegiance to God – [it is] the responsible man who tries to make his whole life an answer to the question and call of God.  Bonhoeffer

Do you have sanctified addictions?

What a vast distance there is between knowing God and loving Him.  Human things must be known to be loved, but Divine things must be loved to be known.

The important question for the Christian is not, “What shall I do today?” but, “What will I become today?”

Our goal on earth as Christians isn’t heaven; that’s our destination.  Our goal is to become more like Christ.

Are you living with the end in view?
